Much of the information on this site is very technical. Experienced musicians who want to improve their jazz playing may well understand a lot of what I am talking about, but if you have looked at this site and felt out of your depth, I hope you won't be deterred from approaching me for lessons. Whilst learning jazz guitar is a long term project and involves much hard work, I make an effort to offer students a way into this music by using accesssible materials in a graded, little-by-little approach. I offer a grounding in jazz study that will give a sense of gradual progress, even if you are starting from a very basic level.

This, of course, assumes you put the work in too. You would need to practice for at least an hour per day, 6 days per week, to make significant strides in this rich area of music: any less and it may feel like a life-sentence.
